This quilt is covered with cross stitch embroidered roses. It is shown on a king size bed, yet technically it is a “queen.” The point is that this is a quilt and not a bed spread. It works on a king or a queen. It looks beautiful and it feels great. It’s fluffy and warm in all ways. Too many people are hung up on dimensions; too many want an oversized quilt.

This Love in Common Amish quilt (our first) is of an appliqued heart of roses, buds, leaves and hearts, in the middle of which is a hand quilted heart – all embraced by an appliqued bow. The fabrics chosen for this quilt are especially beautiful and delightful. The appliqued heart and bow are surrounded by beautiful fabrics pieced into a “brickwork” pattern, which becomes, overall, a Boston Common pattern. This quilt is also reversible – the maker chose a soft blue pattern fabric to back it.
