A Perfect Wholecloth Pineapple Amish Quilt
The pineapple has long been a sign of welcome and hospitality. The Amish woman who made this Wholecloth Pineapple quilt calls it a “Pineapple Delight.” This name is an understatement: In more than 15 years, we have never seen such perfect, masterful hand quilting. Occasionally the quilting on a 100 to 125 year old Amish quilt is as good, but the highly prized old quilts found in museums were easier to quilt because their batting was much thinner. In additional to the fine hand quilting, our Wholecloth Pineapple quilt is the perfect design that qualifies it as a quilt that belongs alongside the very best Amish quilts – again – those that are found in museums. We count no less than 11 to 12 stitches per inch!
