A gorgeous calico Star Log Cabin Amish quilt!
The Log Cabin is among the most versatile of quilt patterns. The Star Log Cabin variation is a perfect example. The maker strategically pieced the “logs” of fabric to create a large central star. She used a wide array of calico print fabrics in versatile and rich colors. The colorful “logs” are quilted in the ditch. Over the light colored “logs” she hand quilted feather patterns. We think this quilt is visually interesting and full of texture. (Item 2062)
