An Amish Made Moonglow Quilt in Glowing Jewel Tones
The Moonglow is an outrageously difficult quilt to make and as such, we had one artist who was adept at and loved making this Jinny Beyer design. When she retired from making this very popular quilt a few years ago we never thought we’d find someone else who was able to make such a complex quilt. The new maker is definitely up to the task. Her quilt is a masterpiece made with a blend of Jinny Beyer and other quilt grade cottons. Her color selection is a mix of muted blues, purples and greens over a black shadow pattern fabric. Her border stands out just as much as the star medallions. In between her sash work, she pieced together a modified fence rail pattern using the fabrics that make up the stars. Stars are pieced, not appliqued. And for lovers of quilts, here’s an interesting tidbit: the maker did NOT paper piece this quilt!
Please also note that this is the last Moonglow quilt we will have in stock for the next 12 months.
