Hearts of Roses Amish Appliqued Quilt
Our Hearts of Roses applique Amish quilt is heavily hand quilted. The maker appliqued a large Heart of Roses over the central portion of the quilt. She also appliqued the same roses, buds and leaves across the pillow cover portion of the quilt, behind which is a hand quilted heart pattern. Finally, she mirrored the central applique with smaller bouquets at each corner. The appliqued roses depict the flower in various stages of bloom. All flowers and leaves are free hand cut and artfully tied together with embroidered stems. The maker’s fabrics visually blend well against the light, heavily hand quilted background.
