Amish Spirit: Handmade Quilts For Sale
Some say the Log Cabin pattern became popular because Lincoln grew up in a log cabin. This is a traditional and versatile pattern with many variations. Here is a variation called a Barn Raising Log Cabin. Each log is hand quilted, but do not overlook the feather quilting (almost like grains of wheat on a stalk), and the waves quilted around the border. The Log Cabin represents plowed farmland, hearth, home, immortality and resurrection: regrowth after a winter. This Log Cabin quilt has it all. (Item 2189)
