Handmade Quilt Log Cabin in the Round

It’s amazing that this Log Cabin in the Round is all pieced (in one plane).  While it might appear to be appliqued, it’s not.  How did the maker arrange the rectangular strips (or “logs”) of fabric so that they form curves? If you look closely you can see that the lighter logs are thicker than the colorful logs.  While this is truly a piecing nightmare, it also makes curves out of straight lines. There are dense feathered hand quilted patterns everywhere else.  Fabric selection includes a mix of patterned and solid fabrics that go with any decor – (Item 2297)
