Gorgeous quilt of appliqued Country Roses
Applique quilts are difficult to make and time consuming to finish. This Country Roses quilt is filled with hand cut and appliqued roses, buds, leaves bows. The maker chose shades of blue and green and hand appliqued all elements over a light background for contrast. She also appliqued a garland of roses with a bow on the portion of the quilt that will cover your pillows. A unique feature of this particular quilt is that the maker also appliqued a garland of flowers around the quilt’s edges. The entire quilt is heavily quilted with some very precise and complimentary hand embroidery and a binding of contrasting fabric.
