Moonglow Amish Quilt

Here is a new variation on the traditional Jinny Beyer Moonglow pattern. Typically pieced over a dark background, this variation is made of stars using the same colors you’d find in a traditional Moonglow (purple, blue, green and black), however, this time the maker pieced over a light fabric. Each non-star square is comprised of more than 20 different fabrics. Lots and lots of hand quilting throughout. Have a look at the stars and you’ll see that the fabrics are pieced, not appliqued. And for lovers of quilts, here’s an interesting tidbit: the maker pieced this quilt by hand and did NOT paper piece! (Item 2294)
