Handmade Amish Doll
Traditional Amish dolls differ a bit from typical dolls. The Amish follow scripture that indicates they should not make graven images, therefore, their dolls are faceless. The clothes of Amish dolls are created to be like the clothes Amish women wear – typically neutral and monochromatic. This reflects the humble nature of the Amish. All dolls bring out the maturity in children and draw the child out in adults.
